Balik kampung time...

It's a festive season once again, as in Malaysia, we're blessed with 3 or 4 major festivities such as Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Hari Raya and Christmas and no matter what your religion is, festive season is the moment where we all celebrate the unique situation that not really happened in other part of the world.

NGV user having enjoyed the saving part of using compressed natural gas as an alternative fuel, surely, would want to still using it when travelling back to our kampung or urban 'kampung'. Unfortunately for us, there's no where we can show off our huge gas tank at the back of our car. Speaking with, almost all NGV refuelling station located around Klang Valley.

Here is the list from Petronas on where about of the stations but it still not updated. I noticed several newly opened stations were not listed in there.

Check out NGV stations. It's worth to print out and put it in your dashboard.

I had experienced on our journey back to my kampung in Perak. I filled up the gas tank together with my petrol tank. I filled up at NGV station near Selayang. I drove all the way north and let the gas run dry. Caution, when the gas ran out, the power cut almost immediately, you must direct your car to the emergency lane on the highway. Be be prepare when the indicator light turned red.

Anyway, I managed to drive it just after the old Jelapang tol plaza on the way up climbing the steep slope. I drove around 180 km on a single full tank journey whicwas about a little bit more than RM 10.00. What a drive. That the interesting part to tell anybody who's willing to ask or interested.

The non-intersting part was it's only one way. Continuing the journey to and back from kampung was on petrol. So, the saving is only partial but at least it helps.

So, to all fellow NGV user, filled up your gas tank and enjoy the saving albeit half way. Happy holiday and safe driving.

Happy Hari Raya Aidil Fitri to all muslims and to all non-muslims, enjoy the long holidays and indulge yourself in the festive moods.
