This sounds like a different kind of fun...

Roller coaster always associated with high speed, high adrenalin kind of fun. Those who are afraid of trying roller coaster, FEAR NOT! You can still enjoy roller coaster in Japan, but in a different kind of approach. PEDAL-POWERED ROLLER COASTER.It may sound dull but I guess it shared the same thrill you got when you on board the conventional roller coaster. Just look at the track if you don't believe it. Just hop in and cycle it. The best thing, you'll enjoy the experience and at the end of the track, I'm sure you'll pretty exhausted. What a good way to exercise and having fun in the same time.

It's a car or big boy toy?

Stand up! Introducing Flatmobile, the lowest street car as recognized by Guiness World Records. It's only 19 inches (48 cm ) tall. Hei, I like to have one, cruising around my town... NOT in a city though, you definitely gonna suck in exhaust fumes from other vehicles.

Word of caution, other driver may not notice you on their side mirror and you will be flat out in the flatmobile if they change lane. No...

Bye 2007, Hello 2008

Welcome 2008. Thanks 2007.

In 2007, I was introduced to compressed natural gas as a substitute to petrol or gasoline. I'm more attracted to low price of gas rather the green sides that finally convinced me to installed conversion kit on my 10-year-old Wira Aeroback. Despite all the negative and skeptical views from close friends, I determined to go ahead.

Now, after about 6 months into NGV, I'm a fairly satisfied customer. Of course, in all things, you will only know the whole truth when you are in it. After all, its not all roses in using compressed natural gas. There's some regular maintenance that you need to do every 20 000 km or 3 to 4 months.

Besides that you need to bear with waiting in lines, limited number of refilling stations (especially you are out of KL), increase car weight, less car boot space, increase awareness to availability of remaining gas in the tank while driving, limited amount of gas can be refilled at one time and a whole lot more.
(Wait for my 6-month review on using gas)

So, 2007, I'm quite content with it and hello 2008. Hope it will bring more joy to NGV user.

Happy New Year everybody...

Not from NGV tank...what a relief

Blast scene

I just read something that relief me from imagining terrifying thing happens to me while refueling.

The blast in NGV Refuelling station in Jln Jambu Jerteh, Jinjang was not linked to compressed gas in the tank.

It was an oxy-acetylene gas tank kept in the boot of a Mercedes-Benz that exploded at a Petronas petrol station here on Thursday and not the car’s NGV cylinder, a Petronas Dagangan Berhad statement said yesterday.

The statement said the NGV cylinder was found intact.

“Based on our initial investigation and as reported by the customer, the probable source of the explosion was from a gas cylinder used for welding (normally containing oxy-acetylene gas) kept in the boot of the customer’s car, and not the NGV tank as reported,” it said.

However, please remind the existing rules: No hand phones, smoking and cut off that engines...

In addition to that, no flammable items in the boot such as cooking gas tank, wielding gas or petrol in a container.

NGV Explosion in Malaysia: Scary

What a blast...

It gives me a fright to think about it. Now, it happens in Malaysia, as reported in The Star:

KUALA LUMPUR: A man cheated death when an NGV gas cylinder in his car boot exploded at a petrol station in Jalan Jambu Jerteh, Jinjang here.

The 3.50pm incident occurred after the man in his 30s had just finished refuelling his Mercedes Benz at the petrol station.

Although the car did not catch fire, its rear was damaged.

It was learnt that the driver had been talking on his mobile phone immediately after pumping gas into the cylinder.

The explosion also caused damage to the petrol station and a taxi parked nearby.

Look at that unlucky taxi...

Health and safety aside; we all know that for sure, but for me sometimes , I refuelled without cutting of my engine to keep my wife in the car with a cool temperature while waiting for it.

Now, not anymore...

Very fast 3-wheeler...

If you think this 3-wheeler is not a very fast car by the look of it...then you are wrong.

This little car can go from 0 to 60 mph in 5 secs. On top of that, those things that associate with fast car which is not so green such as high fuel consumption and all that gas emission are reduced drastically.

It has low fuel consumption due to the fuelvapor technologies used in the engine. The regular gasoline is converted to gas before entering the combustion chamber. It has 30% less CO2 emission.

Check it out this weird looking car.
